This project represents the progression of Alzheimer's disease through a three and half minute music. Alzheimer's disease is a progressive disease that gradually worsens over a period of 4 to 20 years. In the music, each second represents an accelerated timeframe of 6 to 30 days after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
Starting with a harmonious melody, the music in overall terms gradually transitions into fragmented and dissonant elements, mirroring the decline of cognitive functions, and finally the loss of the ability to respond to their environment. I hope this project can provide a glimpse into the experience of a person with Alzheimer's which I hope no one will ever have.
